Notes
HOW IT EARNS - 1.2 pts/S$ on everything, 2 on SIA and Scoot. Uncapped, no minimum. - 1 HighFlyer point = 1 KrisFlyer mile. - Rounding is to the NEAREST point: S$190.91 at 2 gave 382, not 381. WATCH OUT - The advertised "up to 8 points" is not all from the card. 5 are the HighFlyer corporate programme (earned however the ticket is paid for), 1 is a cardholder bonus, 2 are the card. Only the 2 appear on the statement, so only the 2 are modelled — which undervalues the card for SIA tickets against what you ultimately receive. - The SIA/Scoot tier matches airline MCCs and merchant names, so a ticket bought through an agency falls to the base rate. - THE POINTS PERIOD IS NOT THE STATEMENT PERIOD — it runs two days earlier at both ends. A purchase in the last two days is billed now and paid next cycle. `period.reward_offset_days: -2`. - No statement is issued for a month with no transactions; the next one covers everything since the last. A gap in statements is not a gap in the record. NOT MODELLED - The 150,000 KrisFlyer miles/year conversion ceiling. EVIDENCE - All three cycles tie exactly: 8,040 / 0 / 382. - Annual fee S$400 incl. GST, from the product page. (MoneySmart's S$1,744 is a DIFFERENT Amex SIA card.)
