Notes
HOW IT DIFFERS FROM THE yuu VISA - Charge+ pays NO BONUS on this card. Clause 7's merchant table: "Applicable to Bonus Rewards: Points will not be awarded for any transactions made with DBS yuu American Express Card." Scoped to Bonus Rewards, so clause 6's base still pays — 1 yuu Point per S$1, the yuu-merchant rate, not the 0.5 that non-yuu spend gets. - 7-Eleven does not accept American Express, so it is not in this card's merchant list at all and cannot be one of the four. NOT a terms exclusion — a fact about the payment network, sourced from MileLion rather than DBS. - Four of NINE brands, therefore, where the Visa has four of ten. The gate is materially harder on this card and the plan should say so. - Some Singtel kiosks, the Cold Storage app and Guardian's app also decline American Express. Not modelled: acceptance varies by location and there is no descriptor to match on, and a purchase that cannot be made generates no transaction to score. - Amex Offers (Shop Small and similar) are worth real money on this card and nothing here models them. - The FCY fee is 3.25%, the same as the Visa, per MileLion's June 2026 review. An older MileLion piece says 3% for the Amex; the newer figure is used and this is the one number here worth re-checking with DBS. HOW IT EARNS - All-or-nothing monthly. S$800 of spend AND four different participating merchants lifts yuu-merchant spend from 5% to 18%. - 28,800 bonus points a month, SHARED across all four bonus tiers via `cap_group: yuu`. The allowance is counted in bonus milli-units, not spend, so every capped month lands on 28,800.00 exactly. - THE CAP IS PER CARD. A holder of both the Visa and this one has 28,800 on each, which is why the two are separate products: modelled as one, the selector could never recommend holding both, and MileLion calls that the preferred play for a big spender — 2 x S$822.86 of bonus spend a month. - Everything else 0.5%. WATCH OUT - A small purchase at a fourth merchant late in the month can be worth far more than its own value. A headline rate cannot express that. - Clause 9f excludes forty MCCs, twenty of them only "w.e.f. 1 May 2026" — DBS widened the list inside the existing document rather than reissuing it. - Clause 9f matches on MCC and DBS prints none, so exclusions depend on the merchant table inferring one at high confidence. An unrecognised merchant in an excluded category still earns: overstates rather than invents a penalty, but it is a gap. - Participating merchants are matched on description patterns. A merchant that renames itself silently drops to the base rate. NOT MODELLED - Whether "yuu Merchant Spend" and "Participating Merchants" are the same list. Assumed identical. - yuu Point expiry. - Appendix 1's product-level exclusions inside participating merchants (services at Giant, tobacco, and so on). EVIDENCE - The yuu app posts each month's bonus separately. All twelve months tie exactly. Three are load-bearing: Apr Visa 6,091.23 is 667.24x9 + 9.06x9.5, which no single base rate can produce; Mar Visa 26,960.84 is an uncapped month to the cent; Jan/Feb/May Visa are 28,800.00, the ceiling.
